Moissanite stones are a 9.25 on the Mohs Scale of hardness making them excellent as engagement rings and suitable for daily wear. Moissanites, while similar to diamonds, exhibit a higher brilliance, as their faceting patterns are different and more reflective. The fiery, rainbow flashes emitted by moissanites are beloved by many, and moissanite’s heightened brilliance can create a colorful “disco ball” effect, especially in sunlight.
