This antique piece was crafted sometime during the Victorian design period (1840-1900). A classic European five stone ring has a slight rose gold color with Belcher style prongs holding five sleeping beauty turquoise. Five cabochon cut turquoise stones ranging in color adorn the top of the shank. During the Victorian era turquoise was immensely popular and often associated with forget me not flowers. In Victorian flower language forget me nots were given as an endearing symbol of true love. Culturally turquoise has a vast history. It was once believed to offer protection, particularly to horses and archers in battle. This ring is currently a size 7.25
