1930's 10k Opal & Diamond Ring | Sz 6
$182
Antique 10k yellow gold freeform ring, with 9x7 Australian white opal center stone and diamond accents. The Opal rise is only 4mm off the finger, allowing a low profile design.
The name "opal" comes from the Sanskrit word upala, meaning precious stone. In Indian mythology, the virgin Goddess of the Rainbow was turned into an opal by the Mother Goddess because she was being chased by suitors. Ancient Greeks thought the stone could give people the gift of prophecy and protected them from disease.
